Institute for Ophthalmic Research Tübingen

The laboratory is devoted to the understanding of the mechanisms of myopia development.
To achieve this goal, a wide range of different approaches are used as can be seen under "people and projects".
The final goal is to develop rational therapies against myopia development in children, either pharmacologically or by a better control of some environmental factors that are linked to myopia development.

A PowerPoint presentation summarizing some of the current aspects of myopia research can be found here... --> .
